Onatti writer and Artistic Director, Andrew Bardwell, rose to the challenge of adapting tried-and-tested plays and writing two completely new ones for the South American schools' audiences. Most of their plays contained participation.

Teachers at schools we visited commented that it was the first time they had seen children participating in a production and were very impressed with this aspect of Onatti's work. The children could find themselves as Roman slaves or Centurions, or be asked to vote "whodunnit" in an Agatha Christie style mystery play.
